Morgan (my expecting daughter) and her husband, Jarred, went to see her dad in St. Louis for Easter. The cable TV went out on Friday and while her dad and his wife were at work Morgan stayed at home to wait for the cable guy.
She took Charlie (the dog) out for a short walk and down the street was a cable truck. She stopped to ask him if he was "her" cable guy. He laughed, then looked at her closely. And said (and I swear this is true).
"Due in July huh. The 12th. A boy. And smart as can be."
Her eyes popped out (as July 12 is the actual due date for the little guy). She asked him...."OK, that was pretty darn good. So, since you know so much - what color will his eyes be?"
And looking right into her hazel eyes, he said "They will stay Blue" And smiled.
Obviously a man after Gabriel's ways. Maybe she should have asked him what his ESPN said about hurricanes and earthquakes!!
(and dearest one, you know I love you truly, but no matter HOW many times you refer to him as "Cletus", or "Rufus", or "Beauregard", those names are not going on the list!! It's bad enough his father still calls him the "Little Noodle")
