gee guess i should have commented. i agree with you on most things. the one thing i dont agree with is corporal punishment in schools. as a parent, i know it can be too easy to get carried away with punishment. granted, teachers are professionals and it shouldnt happen, but sometimes shit does happen. i definitely believe in a call home, though if the kid acts up at school, and suspension or expulsion for repeated bad behavior.

Hey,that was no punishment at all! Dont be so nice to me when I say something stupid, give it to me. Mock me more or something. Dont be so nice and flattering. Be meaner. I think I was just being mean and therefor you have the higher position moral-wise. Well, make me suffer more when I do you wrong, you know. That didnt burn me at all,you know. You have to tell me Im stupid or something. You must tell me I suck or something, but also mean it in that second, you know. Somehow thats rather flattering what you do. Hm. Right,I got it:you cant forgive me. You gotta hold that grudge.

Hey,you have a RIGHT to be boring!! Plus,I really liked the sailing topic. You know:dont listen to me when I say something mean or stupid or useless or meaningless! Then just like dont listen, then just ignore that,ok? Dont listen to me when I hurt you.

I wish I had more time to read and comment and communicate... that's probably the primary reason I've not bought a new computer (my current computers can't handle chat or instant message programs, not enough memory), not enough time to spend online... I will make an effort to comment more this weekend... and thinking about comment conversations, a lot of people require a valid email address or a comment is rejected, but then, that might eliminate some of the most interesting meaningless conversations I've ever had on line... the power of words is a power you give, or do not give, as you wish... I give no power to negative words, even when I give such words some offhand (or even direct) attention... several years in newsgroups in the nineties probably helped too :)

OK guys - I think I may not have been clear. I don't expect an email address on every comment. Candoor is right - sometimes people just want to say something and I think that is fabulous, i LOVE, no I ADORE, comments and notes. My point was that I wished folks who had the courage to leave a negative comment would also have the courage to leave an email!

identity may be a highly treasured commodity, but it's value is relative... obscurity may be uncomfortable to many, but I find it almost as exciting as identity... personally, I think being online is a fool's paradise for those who wish to know and a heaven for those who wish to dream... identity is relative, it was also an interesting film :)
